Okay so I know my posts are sometimes few, far, and in between but that is how it goes with a newborn. You stay pretty busy and when I have a few extra minutes I usually jump in the shower, tidy the house, or read my new obsession "Twilight." But I have done all that already this morning with the help of my little Brother watching Brody so I could get a shower so I had a few extra minutes and thought I would do a little update while Brody is napping.
Brody is now 7 weeks old and is getting ready to be 2 months old on Monday. Could someone please tell me where the last 2 months went? It has gone by sooo fast. It seems like just yesterday Brody's clothes were all too big and he was wearing preemies, and that his NB diapers were big on him. They really do grow up too fast so make sure and cherish every little moment. Being at almost 2 months old Brody is starting to wake up more throughout the day and he is becoming more alert. He is also starting to smile more and he seems to be recognizing voices as well. He is very strong with his neck and loves holding it up, just for a couple seconds. He really is growing. I am excited to take him to his doctors appt. on Monday just to see how much he has really grown in the last 2 months, but I am not excited for him to get his shots, that will be Daddy's job I may just have to step out of the room.
As bad as this is... I have yet to get Brody's pictures taken. Yes I have taken 100,000,000 myself but none professionally and I hate that but I am going tomorrow at 5:30 to get them... finally I know. I can't wait to see them, I know they will just be too cute!!
Okay... so I found something new that some of you moms or mommy to Be's could find handy... I got the Chicco Discovery Travel system and I love it! The car seat is #1 in safety and the stroller is very nice, maneuvers well, pretty light, and even has an adjustable handle for us taller moms once thing I don't like though is the basket.. it is not big enough to fit any of my diaper bags (I do have big one's though) and it drives me crazy so I found this thing at babies r us called "Mommy Hook" and you put it on the handle of the stroller and you can hang shopping bags from it or even a diaper bag, lifesaver for me!
Well of course before I have to go I will leave you with some new pictures of my little man!! Well I had several more to add but my computer keeps messing up so here are two!!
