3 months old

Brody Luke,

You are 3 months old today and once again Mommy just can't believe it, you are growing up too fast. You are sitting in my lap right now (your favorite place) just looking up at me , moving your little hands and smiling and making your sweet little sounds. These past 3 months have been absolutely wonderful and I feel so blessed and lucky to be your mother Brody Luke. Being a mother is so wonderful and so much more than I ever imagined. I am not exactly sure how much you weigh but I am guessing around 12 or 13 lbs. You are fitting prefect into your 3 month outfits, you fill them out just right. You are still able to wear some of your 0-3 too. You love to eat, like a lot but I think you get that from your mommy, so it's okay:)

You wake mommy up in the mornings grunting most of the time and it is just so cute. You don't sleep through the night and some nights you do better than others. You still are usually up every 2-3 hours not always to eat but up for some reason. You have slept in bed with mommy and add since we brought you home from the hospital and last night I put you in your pack n play by the bed and you slept so good, but mommy had to sneak and hold your hand all night. You smile and cook all the time and it is so precious. You still sleep alot throughout the day but are a lot more alert and it seems you are starting to know people. You love to lay on the floor on your play mat and just kick around and talk to mommy and daddy. To fall asleep you love for mommy to rock you and sing "This little light of mine." You have this blanket that is blue and super soft on one side and silky on the other and you have to have it to fall asleep. You like when mommy's rubs the silky part on your head to put you to sleep and you love to hold mommy's finger. You are also so cute when you sneeze, its so loud and powerful for a little man like you. You are the most beautiful little boy ever Brody. I love you so much more than you will ever know. I love being your mommy. Happy 3 months angel!!!!

Sunday=Family

Sunday's are always great days! We get up and go to church and then we always go out to eat at our favorite place "Toro Loco." Sundays=Family for us. We go to a small little church that consists of mostly family and of course people who are just like family and then we always go out to dinner afterwards with family. Usually my parents, sister, brother, cousins, and a few uncles it's a day I always look forward to! Today my cousin Alison was in from... Al where are you from now? Well SC but she has just moved to Seattle so it was good getting to see her!
Tomorrow Brody will be 3 months old and I seriously cannot believe it. Where does the time go???great getting to see her!!

Just Like my papaw

We have had a great weekend, didn't do a whole lot but had a good weekend. I do hate that it was really cold this weekend, come on spring weather, please!!

We went yesterday with my dad, sister, and brother (my mom was sick) to Lowe's and to eat and then had some friends over to visit. Then today we went to church and out for Mexican and then Me and Brody came home and went back to the bedroom to watch a movie. Timmy was all about the ballgames in the living room. I finally got to watch Fireproof and I loved it!!! If you haven't watched it yet, you need to!! I told Timmy he has to watch it with me now.

I am excited for my cousin Kelley tomorrow.

She is going in for a c-section at 10:00 to have her little baby girl, Daisy. This is her second child! Pray that everything goes well with her and little miss Daisy! It's about time this family gets a little girl!!

My dad has this thing, VESTS. He loves sweater vests, puffy vests, fleece vests, any kind of vests. While I was pregnant I think we may have been in Meijer and Timmy and my dad came back with a little vest for Brody just like my dad wears. I broke it out and put it on him yesterday and dad walked in and look what he was wearing?

Today is my cousin and best friend Lacey's 22nd birthday (we call her Brody's aunt because she is just like a sister to me) I don't get to see her today because she is away at school and won't be in for a couple of weeks. We hope you have a great birthday!!!!! We love you lots!!

Brody is almost 3 months old and I just can't believe it. Time really does fly by. I am so lucky and blessed to be able to stay at home with Brody and not have to leave him. I did just sign up for a class for summer I session but luckily it is all ONLINE, yay. I will be going back to school in January to start my nursing program, lucky for me and Brody he gets to stay with My mom, his grammie! He already loves her so much and she lives right next door, not even 50 ft away. But anyways... he just gets cuter and cuter everyday to me.

It is rainy here today, I hate when it rains.... I don't think Brody really likes it either, he has been kinda out of sorts today. I think he is just tired, he is conked out in his glider right now.

I have a question... all of those mommy's out there who has a bumbo seat? I am really wanting to get one because Brody loves to sit up and has pretty good neck support is he to young? Should I wait a little longer to get one or do you think he is old enough?I realize this isn't a very good picture and Brody's head is cut off but I just had to show this onesie.. I got it at wal-mart when I found out we were having a boy for 3.00 and I just think it is too cute!! Of course his daddy loves when he wears it!

Favorite Twins

My favorite twins came over today and visited me and Brody!! We had a lot of fun catching up on each other lives and talking about everything and Brody just loved them!!! Thanks for coming and vi sting Kristen and Michelle!!!! Also, Michelle ( on the left) just found out she is pregnant, Congrats to her !!!

Daddy's Lil Man

Brody Luke loves his Daddy!! He loves to just sit on the couch and watch ESPN in his Daddy's arms!! These 2 men are my favorite!!!! There is nothing better than seeing them together, just melts my heart. I love them both so much, I am so Blessed!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day here today and my mom is out walking with Brody. I am getting things ready for some of my sweet friends to come over http://jenkinsk08.blogspot.com/ and http://mlm88.blogspot.com/. They are twin sisters and the two sweetest girls ever! I haven't saw them since my baby shower in October and they have yet to meet Brody. I am excitied to hang out and catch up with them because so much has changed in our lives!! I will post pictures!!

Meeting Great Grandma Hazel

My grandma (my dad's mom) is in a nursing home and she had not saw Brody yet. I was really nervous to take him in to the facility so young and while it was RSV and flu season but I really wanted him to get to meet his great grandma, so hey I waitied 2 1/2 months.. WE go to vist my grandma every sunday after church and I had not been to see her since like 2 days before I had Brody. Grandma Hazel is 94 years old and had 9 boys of her own, she is still doing pretty well for her age but she is starting to lose her memory some so it was really important that Brody got to meet her and that she got to meet him. She is so sweet. She loved Brody and just thought he was adorable.

Happy Spring!!! It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here! We are going to Lexington for the day/night.. I am going to go hang out with my sisters and cousins!!! Brody gets to meet Danielle and Estella for the first time, and they can't wait!! It's my 1st cousin and her little girl so were excitied! Have a great weekend!

Brody and his Teddy

My aunt got Brody this teddy bear "Baby's 1st Bear" and I recently brought it out to see if he would play with it, or really if he would just acknowledge it. He loves it!!!! I put it down with him and he will try to grab it and bring it closer to him, it is so cute!! He is just now getting to the point where he is trying to grab at things, and acknowledge them. It's cute.. Here are some pictures!

St. Pattys Day-- Happy Birthday Mom and Grandma!!

I know I know.. I'm a day late but that is how it works out sometimes, haha. Yesterday was St. Patrick's Day I know, and it was also my moms birthday! It was a beautiful day outside so we had a picnic lunch for my moms birthday and just spent the whole day outside!! Such a wonderful day!! Of course my Lil man was wearing his Holiday attire!! Oh and I am doing good today, 2 posts in one day!! It's another beautiful day today so were heading outside!!

Brody's Dedication

Brody's dedication was Sunday at church and of course he slept through the whole thing, but he looked so handsome in his little white suit. My dad did the whole thing and it was so special!! I love knowing that we will be raising Brody in church as a family, there could be nothing better!!

A present!

So I used to have to sit in one spot in my living room with my laptop that would barely turn on. I had gotten it when I first when to college in "05". You had to keep it plugged in to the power source or it would turn off, it wouldn't even let me upload my pictures from my camera to it.. lucky we live by my parents and I can use their computer to do things alot faster!! We do have a desktop but it is totally ate up with a virus and won't even turn on...soooo.. Me and the hubby and Brody went to Best Buy last night and walked out with this..

I can not even begin to tell you how wonderful it is!! I can go anywhere in the house with it, it's so fast I actually have time to check my e-mail while Brody naps, I love it!! Thanks Timmy!!!

Cutie Pie

My little cutie pie on Sunday after church!!!!! His outfit was a little big but I couldn't wait for him to wear it with his little knee highs, so since it was warm I had to break it out! Just wait for his Easter outfit!!

The weather has been beautiful here and so nice, I am so ready for spring and summer!!!

Rainbow Bright

Today was absolutely gorgeous!!! 66 degrees here in my part of Kentucky and it was so nice!! I am so ready for spring and summer!! I took Brody out in his stroller and walked for awhile and gave him some fresh air, he loved it!!

So I am so tired of winter, snow, cold... so I dressed Brody in a bright colored "springish" outfit and he looked like a rainbow... all colors mixed together with stripes , maybe not a fashion statement but his momma sure loved it, I love bright colors, he is cute in anything!!!! I couldn't get a real good picture, but at least you can see "Rainbow Bright."

2 month check up!

We just got home from Brody's 2 month check up!!! He checked out great! The doctor said everything looked good and he seemed to be very healthy. He said his umbilical hernia wasn't as bad as it looks and that the hole should close up by the time he is 1 -2 years old and that it is nothing to worry about. He had 3 shots in his leg and he just cried for a second and as soon as I picked him up and kissed him he stopped crying and fell asleep. He is now sound asleep.. I'm going to go rock him and baby him all day after those shots.. as if I don't baby him everyday:)

His stats today were:
Weight: 11lb & 11oz
Length: 22 1/4
Head: 15 1/4

Brody Luke is 2 months old!!!! (As of yesterday)

Brody Luke,

Mommy cannot believe you are already 2 months old, it has already gone by so fast. Everyone was right in saying you will grow up too fast. You are Mommy's big eater and you sure are growing. You are still tiny but so much bigger than you were when I brought you home from the hospital. You are starting to wake up and stay awake more throughout the day. You love being in your swing and laying and playing in the floor. You love to be held and cuddled tight. You love when Mommy sings to you, especially "This little light of mine." You love playing with your daddy and holding his finger. You have started smiling some this month and it melts Mommy's heart. I never thought I could love someone so much Brody Luke. You truly are a gift from God. Happy 2 months!! Mommy loves you so very much baby boy!!!!!

I take Brody tomorrow for his 2 month appointment. I am not looking forward to his shots, but I am looking forward to see how much he has grown and how long he is and how he is doing. I also can't wait to see what the doctor says about his umbilical hernia. Any one's kid have/had one of this or know of anyone? They say its pretty common and they usually fix themselves by the time they aer 2 or 3. But I like any other mother worry about everything. If you don't know what it is, his little belly button is just stuck way out like a little bump. It doesn't seem to hurt or bother Brody in any way.

I have started working out, I can't wait to get back to my pre-baby body or even close to it!!! Anyone have any good mommy exercises or ways to lose baby weight???
