Laura's Wedding shower!!

Yesterday was My Best Friend Laura's wedding shower and it was a beautiful day for it!!!! It was nice to see a lot of old friends that I don't get to see often plus I am so excited for Laura and Adam. They have been dating since our Sophomore year of High school, high school sweethearts!! It's about time the get married!! The shower was beautiful and they got so many nice things!! The wedding is September 12, 2009! I am her Matron of Honor!

I had Brody to the DR. on Friday morning and he said he just had acid reflux, but my motherly instinct all weekend was telling me it was something else, so I called the DR on call and they said as long as he had no fever and was eating he was fine. Well yesterday we went to church and to Laura's shower and he was a but fussy and was sleeping a lot off and on so I knew he wasn't feeling well. He started running a temp last night of 100.4, so we are off to the doctor this morning at 10:30. My poor baby. He has such a bad cough!!!!

My friend Andrea had a baby boy a month ago and he is so tiny and precious!!! His name is Gage and look how cute he is!! He and Brody will be buddies!!! We have play dates now, but not much playing goes on they are more for the Mommy's haha..

Nasty cough

Starting on Thursday lil Brody was getting a little cough that I just didn't like. He didn't seem to be feeling bad and wasn't running a temp. or anything but I called the dr. and made an appt for Friday morning just to be checked out anyway, I'm like that. My baby, I'm taking no chances:) So we went to the Dr. and he checked Brody out and said everything sounded and looked fine but thought maybe it was just his acid reflux acting up so he wanted me to start him on some medicine to see if it helps. Oh and let me say at the DR. on Friday he weighed 17.5 lbs!!!! My big boy!!!!

Tonight Brody sounds awful.. I have called the pediatrician on call and he just said As long as he is eating, sleeping, not fussing, no fever he is fine and it is probably the acid reflux. Okay.. well his little cough sounds horrible and it makes me sad. But he isn't fussy or acting like he feels bad, I just wish I could clear his throat for him and take the cough away!! Anyone have a child that did this with acid reflux????

Tomorrow is my Best friend Laura's wedding shower, I'm excited!! I'm excited to see what all she gets, see old friends, and it just makes me excited for her!!! I am her matron of honor in her wedding in September! I will have pictures to post I am sure!!

Brody's Nursery

Welcome to Brody's Nursery!!!!
Here is a picture from the doorway as you are looking into his room. Me, my mom, Timmy, my dad, and my little brother worked on this room doing the stripes. Me and my mom did most of it though and I think it turned out pretty good!!!

Here is our little rocking/reading corner. I am still looking for the perfect bookshelf, but the baskets will do for now. Brody's horse was my little nephews that my parents had gotten them and they passed it on to us. The rocking chair is a special piece because it was Timmy's moms and the quilts on the rocker have all been made for Brody.
Here is a look into Brody's MESSY MESSY closet, I try to keep it so clean but I'm trying to go through it to start putting the newborn and 0-3 months in storage!

Brody's Crib area, I love his crib! Don't mind the bottom, the pull out storage drawer came off track and we just haven't fixed it yet.

I had ordered Sail boat bedding from Pottery Barn and his daddy ( HUGE sports fan) begged for a Sports room for his little boy so I sent the pottery barn bedding back we headed to Lexington to Baby's Room and this is what we found. I love it now and think it is perfect for our little Brody!

This little firetruck was sent to us when Brody was born from Timmy's aunt and cousins, and I think it is so cute. Then in the frame is a picture of what Brody's name means, really cute!


Brody's name on the wall. On the shelf is a little lamp with a bear my cousin Lacey sent to me for my baby shower for Brody and the football and bear Timmy sent to me and Brody in the hospital with flowers!

This is over in a corner, on the shelf it has some things he will use when he gets older. His bible, football spoon and fork, and some cookie cutters. Hanging is his Daddy's old football jersey, his Bengals jersey, and a little baseball outfit.

Brody Luke

Almost too big for his swing!

Not a lot has been going on here in the Roland Household, but I had a few new pictures I wanted to share. Brody loves laying on the couch and watching TV with daddy, look at him. He is turning that little head to see the TV! Sooo cute!!!

Brody used to love his swing, but then he got bigger and started loving his bouncy seat and laying on his play mat so I just really kind of forgot about the swing. Last night I decided to put him in it, and boy has he grown! He used to look soooo teeny tiny in that swing and now it is almost time to put it away. He sat in it, but he doesn't like it as much as he used to!!

I wish ths rain would go away and the sun would start shining!!! We have had enough rain!!

Memorial Day Weekend!

We have had a busy Memorial Day weekend so far!! On Saturday we went to my sister's in Northern KY so Timmy could help my bro-in-law move stuff out of there house to a storage unit! They aer building a new house and it won't be done until July and they sold their house ( a blessing) and have to be out by June 1st. In the meantime my sister and nephews are coming to stay with my parents for a couple weeks! While they moved things I took my nephews and Brody to see Night at the museum 2, we had a lot of fun.

This is my sisters little niece (her husbands brothers daughter) and Brody is 2 weeks older than her and he definitely out weighs her!!! Just by about 2 lbs, but she is longer than him! Thought it was cute they were color coordinated

My cousin Grace is getting ready to graduate and today was her Graduation Party! So off we went on a little walk to her house for her party!

Daddy found something Brody loved, the balloons!!! He kept hitting at them! He loves them!

Then he got so hot and tired from playing with the balloons so much, this is what he did for the rest of the party!

I decided to start Brody on a little baby food today! I started with green beans and he seemed to love them!! At first he wasn't so sure about them and he was give me this awful face while continuing to eat them and then when he was done he would laugh and smile!! I don't think he is going to be too picky, and that is good because his Momma doesn't like picky eaters!!!!:) When Timmy and I first got together he was kind of a picky eater and still is a little bit but he has came a long way!! I come from a family where we love food, cooking, and eating out and none of us are picky at all!!!!

Brody's 1st trip to the pool!!!

It has been such a beautiful week here and so warm so we decided yesterday evening we would take Brody out to the pool! Timmy and I have been in several times already. Brody looked so adorable in his little swim trunks and swim shirt, I could just eat him up!! Don't mind me in my two tiny bikini and post baby body...haha I haven't went out for new bathing suits yet since I've had Brody..but I need to for sure!!!
When Timmy first dipped Brody's feet in the pool he started crying because it startled him but then we got him on in and in his super cute crab float and he started to enjoy it. I didn't keep him in for long because it was a little cool for him! I know he is just going to love it this summer!!!

After getting out of the pool, Brody was soooooooo happy!!!

Brody's 1st time in his high chair

I decided to put Brody in his high chair for the first time yesterday, and he seemed to really like it! I put him in it while I was making supper and he just played with some toys! He is such a big boy! He is really starting to grab at his toys and teething rings and he can grab them and bring them up to his mouth. I didn't think you could do this at 4 months? He is doing these things too early, I want him to stay a baby, Mommy's little baby. Quit growing up so fast Brody Luke! Oh well, you will always be Mommy's little baby boy!!Here is Brody with his Uncle Titus ( my little brother). He had gotten him this Bengals Jersey for my baby shower. Titus is a big sports fan, UK AND BENGALS and the king of jerseys so he couldn't wait for Brody to fit in this. He had asked me to try it on him from the day he was born, so I did this morning and it fit perfect! Daddy and Brody playing on the couch. Brody is so strong with his neck, but he doesn't like tummy time much still unless it is like this! He is starting to try and roll over I have grabbed my video camera a few times but then he just gives up! Oh well, It will be once day soon when I am not even ready for it!

I thought this was so cute!! I have put it on him before but hadn't for a long time. This robe was from my cousin Lacey, and she got it for me when I was pregnant with him I think it is so cute. Mommy and Daddy's lil cute ducky!!

Catching up!

Alright, so here we go on catching up from the weekend!
Saturday we went to Lexington to celebrate my sister Lindsey's 25th Birthday! We stayed at the Hilton at the Lexington Green and shopped around and then we went to a very nice dinner at the Jean Farris Winery, the food was so delicious! If you live around the area or are ever near you should definitely go! I didn't get any picture's from there but a couple of Brody dancing to the music on the table, haha! Then we went back to the hotel and went to bed, kind of. Brody did not sleep well at all!!! He has stayed there before when he was younger and in a couple more hotels and was fine but I think where he is getting older he knows his own bed and that is what he wants, so it was a long night. We were going to go to the church in the morning with the family but we ate breakfast and headed on home. I was so tired, for some reason that was the most tired I had been since Brody was born! So Sunday we got home and just laid around the house and I did some homework, blah. I started my online class on Monday and there is so much to do!!!

Brody is napping right now, he is such a good little guy!!!! He has been talking to much this week and laughing all the time, it is so cute! He is also getting very close to rolling over, I have grabbed that video camera several times!!!! I think it will be any day now!! I have tried rice cereal a few more times, and he still isn't so sure about it so I think I'm just going to quit and maybe try again around 6 months and start on some baby food then too!

Well it's such a beautiful day today, gorgeous!! So I'm going to catch up on a little bit of school work and when Brody wakes up were going to head outside!!!
