Our Christmas Eve

I am still re-capping our Christmas, I have been busy this week putting away toy's, taking down Christmas decorations, cleaning, taking Brody to another dentist appointment ( will tell more later) and am just getting around to posting about our Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Eve we walked over to my parent's to spend the day with my whole family. I love when were all in the same house together, so much fun. We snacked around all day, had a great dinner where we had a turducken which was delicious, and then we opened presents. My dad read the Christmas story out of the bible while we all sat and listened before we opened presents. My nephews, BIL Matt, and sister Tisha open all of theres since they go home Christmas eve night for Santa Claus. We also draw names between all of us so we opened those presents as well. an The rest of my sisters, brother, husband, parents, and Brody waited and opened ours on Christmas morning. Here are pictures to show our Christmas...........

Christmas on Thursday..

Christmas on Thursday..
On Thursday we had Christmas with Timmy's family at our house. We had a lot of great food and alot of fun. We opened presents, laughed, and made memories. Brody got hot rod's and a super cool work bench from his Papaw Roland. Timmy's brother and sil couldn't be here so it was just his step-sister, and step-brother, his Dad, and Angie.  We had a great Christmas with them!!

Merry Christmas!!!!!

It is Jesus' birthday...

So let us not forget.

To give to Him the present,

That He would like the best.

He doesn't want a stocking...

Hung upon the tree.

Or lots of toys or presents,

Like selfish you and me.

He only wants our love for Him,

To shine out to the earth.

He wants us to tell others,

About His miracle birth.

He wants us to bring all we know,

To church to worship Him.

He wants us to remember...

He died for all our sins.

Please focus on His birthday...

The sacrifice God made.

To send His Son to live and die,

So we could all be saved.

This tiny baby Jesus...

Born in a lowly stall.

He came to bring salvation...

To save us one and all.

This Christmas has more meaning...

I'm calm and have such peace.

So let us bow before Him,

And worship at His feet.

The church bells now are ringing,

For you and I to bring...

Our gifts of praise and worship...

To our Savior and our King.

Merry Christmas to you! Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!

Christmas dinner #1

Yesterday was our First Christmas celebration for this Holiday season. It was at my Grandma June's house, we had a spaghetti dinner and opened presents. We did things a little different this year since there are SO many of us.. we just brought gifts for Grandma and then Grandma made each and every one of us ( about 50 or so) big bags and inside she put in a pillow ( with a pillowcase she made) a quilt ( she had made) a sewing kit she put together and a flashlight! It was such a neat gift and one I will treasure forever!!
After Ma June's we came home for a much needed nap and then went back to church for the small Christmas program which turned out so cute!!
I still can't believe Christmas is in just  5 days!!!!!!!

Brody's 1st Haircut

When Brody was born he had very little  hair, just a little teeny tiny bit and he really didn't start growing alot of hair until after his 1st Birthday. I finally decided it was time for his 1st haircut on Monday evening, well just a little trim. I let my dad and Timmy do it. Brody did a great job, the bites of Ice cream in between from Uncle Titus definitely helped. After his haircut my dad decided he needed a slicked back do just like his! Another bittersweet moment of raising my precious baby boy. You can bet I kept hair from that 1st haircut!
