A Solider

I found out yesterday that a friend and a classmate of mine (highschool) who was fighting for our country was killed. I hadn't saw or talked to Chris in several years but he was a friend throughout highschool and was in my graduating class. He was such a sweet guy and he was so funny, he always could make you laugh.  It just really hit's home when it is someone you personally knew and someone my age. He was in the Army and had been for several years. It left me at a loss for words.... such a young guy, with his whole life left to live, but he gave it up for US.

Thank you Chris - a soldier that fought to maintain my freedoms and privileges and sacrificed his life to do so! May God comfort your family at this time and surround them with citizens who are eternally grateful for your sacrifice!

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family and friends of Chris. It's such devastating news to hear of someone losing their life on the battlefield, and it is especially disheartening to know the soldier personally. May God be with each of you in this time of need :)

And thank you Chris for sacrificing your own life for our country! Now, that's a hero ♥

I, too, just recently found out about a guy I went to high school with that was killed in war... and it is just such a sad thing, such a young life gone so soon. I'll keep your friend in my prayers tonight.

How very very sad. It is so hard when it someone that you know personally and it really hits home. A boy that I graduated with, went to prom with was injured very seriously in Afghanistan a few months ago. I'll be praying for Chris' family and your hometown also!
