Prayers for Lance

As I have mentioned before on my blog about Lance ( a friend from my hometown that was involved in a car accident back in November) I would like to ask special prayers for him at this time! He has been home for several weeks but started having some seizures yesterday and is in UK hospital. I pray daily for his recovery, healing, strength and for his family.

Live the Lion

4 weeks!

Exactly 4 weeks until I will be laying on the beach, getting a tan, soaking up the sun, playing in the sand with my sweet little boy,and making making memories with my family..... I can't wait!!!! We decided on going to Pawley's Island, SC. This is our first time vacation there, so if any of you have vacationing there and can tell me anything about it, please let me know!

I am busy today getting thing's ready for my cousin Lacey's wedding shower that I am helping throw along with my sister, mom, and Aunt's. I am excited for it and for Lacey's wedding which is in 6 weeks!!!

Sick Baby Boy

I have been up since 2:30 with a sick little boy. He went to bed fine but woke up about 2:00 pretty restless and couldn't get comfortable. He kept telling me that his mouth was hurting and the next thing I knew, he had thrown up. Bless his heart. I absolutly hate when my ltitle guy is sick and he is so pitiful when he "get's sick." We got up and came to the living room to our big comfy chair. He has gotten sick a few more times but has been sleeping on me for the last 2 hours. I CAN NOT sleep when he is sick, so I have been watching TV (nothing has been on but infomercials) and watching his every move. Hopefully it is just a little bug and he will be feeling better soon!!!

Looks like we are supposed to be getting more storms today, I am so over the rain! We have issues with our basement, it leaks water BAD, Monday we had about 8 inches in it. So My dad had some guys work on itand put some new pipes to drain outside and it still didn't really fix the problem, so all of this rain we are getting doesn't help!

Easter

We celebrated Easter all weekend with my family over at my parent's house. We had a great time laughing, eating, and making memories as a family as we celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

We have been having alot of rain and that made it hard to be able to hunt Easter eggs outside, so I took Brody to an Easter egg hunt Friday night where they hunted eggs inside, it didn't matter to him he loved it!!

I love Spring!

I absolutely love Spring time!!! Although we are having a rather cool and rainy spring, I still love it! I love seeing all of the beautiful flowers in bloom and having some warmer days (kind of since were having some cool weather here in KY). Spring is such a time of joy and hope of plants, animals, and new life. Spring is such a pleasant season.I love spring for its freshness and it's vibrancy. I love spring for the longer hours of daylight, that just lift's my spirits. There is nothing better than waking up on a Spring Morning with the sun shining and the birds chirping, I know you have to agree? Spring is a beautiful time of the year and I love coming out of winter into such a beautiful season!!!

I love taking pictures in the spring and capturing the beautiful moments of the season. I love taking pictures! By uploading them to Shutterfly you can make beautiful Photo Books to share with your family and friends! The season spring also brings Easter (which is tomorrow and I'm so excited for) and for Mother's Day. A we are apprcoahing Mother's day and thinking of gift ideas I think of getting Mother's Day Cards from shutterfly as well. Also spring means graduation for alot of people as well, with a best friend graduating college these awesome Graduation announcements would be perfect for her!

It's 8:00 am and....

It is 8:00 am and I have already have...

Made the hubby Breakfast and packed his lunch ( yes I do this every morning for my sweet hubby, although this wasn't his exact breakfast, I cook bacon, eggs, and toast or a biscuit.) Yes I am proud of myself for doing this because some days I would much rather not get up at 5 and do this and stay cuddled in my big warm bed but my husband deserves it and I love doing it for him! Seriously, it's a big deal it means alot to him :) Try it sometime!

Cleaned around  the house ( just picked up)

Filled my shopping cart at Forever 21

And managed to crawl back into my big warm bed and cuddle with my baby boy! Time to tip toe back out of the bed and do some laundry!

It has been thunder storming all night and still raining and there is nothing better than being able to crawl back into my big warm bed with my sleeping angel! Even better when I have accomplished some things this morning before Brody even wakes up! As much as I love sleeping in with my baby it is nice to wake up at 5:00 and get some things done!

Scrapbooking?

Does anyone have any good websites for EASY online scrapbooking? I am new to online scrapbooking so I want something that is easy! Also when you online scrapbook can you print out the page to put into a scrapbook? Let me know if anyone does this, I need some tips and ideas!!!

All about Brody- 27 Months

Since I stopped doing Brody's monthly posts once he turned 2 I feel like I have not been documenting things as well. One of the main reason's I started this blog was so I would have a scrapbook to look back on and reference to. I want to be able to look back and see what Brody was up to at certain points in his life, so I don't forget. Since I have stopped the monthly posts I am going to do them every couple of months so I can have this to look back on and so I won't forget all the little things :)

--Brody is now 27 Months old

-- He weighs 29 lbs and wears a 2t in clothing and 6-7 in shoes

-- He wears a sz 5 in diapers. I have been introducing potty training for quite awhile now but he is still not interested AT ALL!!!! I am going to really go at it starting in June, I think. 

-- Brody is a picky eater and doesn't eat a whole lot. He likes spaghetti, pizza, mac-n-cheese, and nuggets. He will very rarely drink milk, he hates it. He is obsessed with orange juice, he now has a bad habit of drinking it at night, bad I know.

-- He talks all the time. He can carry on a full conversation. I love hearing his sweet little voice and what he comes up with. He says the cutest things. He has been asking at random times to different people, "Do you love me.?" So cute.  

-- At night time to fall asleep he says, "Mom Play song." This means that I sing him songs to fall asleep and he sometimes sings along, it is sweet. Brody loves to say his prayers at night and before we eat a meal. He puts his hands together, closes his eyes, and says "Dear heavenly father, thank you for my food, Amen." Yes this is amazing and melts my heart.

-- Brody loves to play basketball and football, loves it!!!!!!!

--He loves playing angry birds on my phone and ipad, loves it.

--He loves watching Thomas, Dino Dan, Dora, Diego and Little Bear.

-- He is a joy and such a sweet baby boy. He very rarely throws a fit, but when he does he knows how to throw one. He is very loving always giving hugs and kisses. He is so friendly, he doesn't meet a stranger. He loves shaking other's hands when he first sees them. He is such a friendly little soul. People are always telling me, "Brody is everyone's baby."

I love watching Brody grow and I don't want to miss a thing!!

Tennessee with my family!

On Thursday after my hubs worked a half day we loaded up and took off for a fun weekend with my family (not all) to Tennessee! My BIL had booked a cabin for my sister Tisha's birthday and invited us to go and we sure are glad we did! Brody did great on the way down sleeping most of the way! He really is a great traveler, I know I am lucky!

We ate alot of good food (our favorite thing to do), we went hiking (which I was not prepared for, had on flip flops then decided to wear my mom's crocs which were like 2 sizes too big, but I managed and glad I did because the FALLS were beautiful!!!), went on some scenic routes, rode go-kart's, went miniature golfing, and hit the outlets!

It was nice to take the weekend to have a little get-away with my family!!!!!!!!!!
