Happy Early Birthday to me!

Rain Rain go away! It has been raining all day and now storming and I am already ready for it to stop:) I hate it when it rains!!

Today me and my friend Brittany had to go to the local red cross to get re-certified in Adult, Child & Infant CPR for the nursing program. I had been certified but I had let it run out. I am glad I have it though and know what to do in case I am ever put in a situation where I need to use it, especially with having an infant. Glad we got it out of the way! My mom watched Brody and he just loves staying with her!!! She is going to watch him in the morning too while I go get my hair done, this will be the first time I haven't taken him with me. He used to sleep while I got it done, then I would take his walker but he is just a handful and my friend J-me can get done faster when he isn't with me. Oh and it is safe to take him where I go.. It is my friends shop and there is alot of space and extra rooms so he isn't smelling all the hair products and dye :)

This weekend is my birthday weekend! My birthday is on Tuesday (13th) but we have to start early! My family will all be in and we are going to Huntington to Hibachis!! It is so yummy and I haven't been there since my birthday last year! Boy are things different... last year I was turning 21 and I had little Brody in my BIG BELLY and this year he is here with us to celebrate and I am so blessed and glad! I will have plenty of pictures to show!

Here are some pictures from this week....

This is Brody in a pair of his new baseball Pj's.. I really wanted to post this because you can see his teeth! He will never let me take a picture of them but in this one you can see them just a little bit.
Yesterday we went to my friend Andrea's to visit her and Gage who is 5 months old! We walked in and Brody & Gage were wearing the exact same outfit. Gage is such a cutie pie.. Brody loved him but tried to tackle him every time we put them close. We tried getting a good picture of them but it was just too hard. Gage loves his jumper and Brody wanted to have fun with him so Brody stood up and held on to the jumper while Gage jumped, it was cute.

Brody & My dad... Brody's shirt says "I'm nuts about Grandpa." He and my dad are big buddies!

HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!
I got an early birthday present from Brody & Timmy tonight........ Timmy said Brody heard me talking about wanting a new pair of black uggs so they went and got them since Brody said I was the best Momma in the world!!!

Happy Early Birthday!

And goodness is it not SO MUCH to keep up with in a nursing program?! I was doing nursing in college, but didn't get into clincials/upper division when I wanted to (GPA wasn't strong enough) so I switched to a managment degree and graduated with that. I wish I had worked harder, or taken more time, even taken a class or two over again and finished with an RN instead. There is just so much to do and to keep up with for nursing so I feel your pain there! Seems like we had to get shot records and a staph test and all sorts of stuff.

I understand the family bed and have let my kids sleep with me pretty often, but usually not until they get a little older and can understand that it's not going to be EVERY night. The thing about letting a kid sleep with you all the time is that eventually you have to get them out and I've seen that be REALLY hard to do, esp with my nieces. They felt like they were being punished and didn't know why.

I also used to work with a woman who had two girls who shared a bed with her and her husband and they were ALL in there until the girls were in 10 and 12 years old! And then the girls had night terrors and had to sleep with all the lights on - not just nightlights, full-on lights. Crazy!

Of course everyone does their own thing and I think it's up to the parents what they want to do. Cuddling with your baby is a special time you can never get back so I completely understand it.
