Some of you may remember about a month ago when Brody Luke got a Urinary Tract Infection. His DR said it was uncommon for boys to get them and wanted to send him to Cinncinatti Children's for an Ultrasound and a test called a VCug just to make sure of some things. He said it could be that he had Reflux or that it could have been a fluke that he got a UTI. So last night we headed to Florence to stay with my sister Tisha, Brother in law Matt and my sweet Nephew's Zach and Landon. We had to be at Children's at 9:45 The ultrasound ( of kidneys) was first and Brody cried the whole tiem even though it didn't hurt and I was right there holding him, he was terrified of his surroundings. After that we went back and waited for his next test ( 2 hours!!!!) which was the test we we were dreading. The VCUG test is where they are examining the bladder and lower urinary tract by inserting a catheter and then inserting a water then they watch to see the filling of the bladder and urination all while taking X-rays. Brody was pretty tough for this test as well and only cried a little bit. I have to call his DR tomorrow to find out the results!!!!
After we were finished at Children's we met my sister and Nephew's at Newport on the Levve and ate at Johnny Rockets and went to the Aquarium. Brody love love loves fish and has been watching Finding Nemo and loved the aquarium. He kept saying "WOW" and he even started saying "Nemo." He loves being with his cousins and they all had so mcuh fun!!!
I need to start packing for vacation tomorrow!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Awwww I must have missed the UTI. I hope the results are fine and that his kidneys work perfectly.
The 17 mo old in my childcare has extra fluid in one kidney. Always worries me that he has reflux problems.
I love aquariums! Youll have to take him there yearly now.

Aww, poor Brody! Hoping you guys got good news on the test results. Such cute pictures...looks like you guys had fun! :)
I hope everything is okay with him; let us know! But, it looks like you all had a blast at the aquarium--they are so entertaining.
I must have missed the blog post somehow! I hate that Brody has been sick. I hope that the test and every thing turned out just fine!
