Ultrasound, VCUG, & The Aquarium!

Some of you may remember about a month ago when Brody Luke got a Urinary Tract Infection. His DR said it was uncommon for boys to get them and wanted to send him to Cinncinatti Children's for an Ultrasound and a test called a VCug just to make sure of some things. He said it could be that he had Reflux or that it could have been a fluke that he got a UTI. So last night we headed to Florence to stay with my sister Tisha, Brother in law Matt and my sweet Nephew's Zach and Landon. We had to be at Children's at 9:45 The ultrasound ( of kidneys) was first and Brody cried the whole tiem even though it didn't hurt and I was right there holding him, he was terrified of his surroundings. After that we went back and waited for his next test ( 2 hours!!!!) which was the test we we were dreading. The VCUG test is where they are examining the bladder and lower urinary tract by inserting a catheter and then inserting a water then they watch to see the filling of the bladder and urination all while taking X-rays.  Brody was pretty tough for this test as well and only cried a little bit. I have to call his DR tomorrow to find out the results!!!!

After we were finished at Children's we met my sister and Nephew's at Newport on the Levve and ate at Johnny Rockets and went to the Aquarium. Brody love love loves fish and has been watching Finding Nemo and loved the aquarium. He kept saying "WOW" and he even started saying "Nemo." He loves being with his cousins and they all had so mcuh fun!!!

I need to start packing for vacation tomorrow!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Countdown is on!!!

In one week we are leaving to go here and I cannot wait!!!! My whole family is going and we haven't went on a big family beach trip since the Summer of "07." Since then Timmy and I have gotten married and added to our family, Brody Luke! This will be Brody's 1st Beach trip and I am so excitied to take him. I love the becah and I sure hope he does too! So this is where you all come in... those that have taken their little ones to the beach what are the must have's and things I really need to take to make this beach trip a little easier! If you have any tips, tricks, or advice please let me know!! The Countdown is on!!!

Asparagus Festival 2010

On Saturday we went to the Asparagus Festival in May's Lick to celebrate my sister Lindsey's Birthday. We had never been before and the little town is about an hour from our house. We tried fried Asparagus, Aspara-guac, Asparagus Brat's, and Asparagus Ice Cream and it was all pretty tasty!

We went to a little town called Mays Lick for to celebrate her birthday yesterday. We went to an asparagus festival, I will try and post pictures from it today!!!

Brody and his Lawnmower..

My good friend Brittany got this Fisher Price Lawnmower for Brody for his 1st birthday. We put it together and it sat in Brody's room for a few months until he got more interestead in toys and now it is one of his absolut favorites. While the mower is so cute it has to be one of the most ANNOYING toys as well. It is so loud.... Brody will come pushing it through the living room and we can't help me just laugh because it is so loud but yet he has the biggest smile on his face while pushing it that we just can't take it awhile. Although I did hide it in his crib this evening, haha. Timmy has said numerous times that when my friend Brittany's little girl is old enough, they will be getting one in return! We were going otuside yesterday and Brody wouldn't put the mower down so we took it outside, much better place for it, I think.

Isn't he just so cute? You wouldn't be able to take it away either, would you?

Mother's Day Weekend!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!!!

On Friday Me and Brody went to Huntington and met Timmy when he got off of work and we went to the Mall, Chili's and Best Buy for my Mother's Day! Timmy got me an awesome digital camera for my Mother's Day present and I am so excitied about it. I am still learning and I know I will be for awhile, but so far even on the auto setting the pictures are awesome! I got a Canon Rebel T1i E0S 500D. If you have this camera let me know what you think about it!!!

On Saturday we went to Mt. Sterling and vistied with Timmy's family and went to his Mother's Grave. This is a hard weekend for him but he did just fine!! The On Sunday we went to church and ate at my parent's house and then Timmy went golfing and I got my hair done!! My roots were terrible so it was a wonderful Mother's Day gift too!!!!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day and I am so thankful and blessed that I am a Mother, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am also so very blessed and thankful for my own wonderful mother!!!

The Countdown is on......2 weeks until the BEACH!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!

Before I was a Mom -

I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom -

I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never been puked on - Pooped on - Spit on - Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom -

I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests...or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom -

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life

so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -

I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known The warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.


I am so blessed to be a Mother to a beautiful, healthy baby boy. Being a mom is the most rewarding, fulfilling, amazing job and I am so blessed it is mine. Happy Mother's Day to my amazing mother!!!! Happy Mother's Day to all of my friends!!!!

Water Baby

The weather has been beautiful here the past couple of days and Brody and I have been taking full advantage of it. Brody loves to be outside love, love, love's it!!!! He hates when it is time to come inside. The pool has been open for about 4 weeks and has had some time to warm up so we decided to have a pool day on Wednesday and Thursday. Brody loved it. I am so glad he had swmming class to get used to the water. I am so glad I have a water baby! Oh and I think I just may have the cutest little water baby ever!!

I took my last final yesterday morning, woo hoo! I am so glad to be done with school and stress-free ( from school) until August!!!!!!!!!!!
