Monster

This is a cute story about Brody that I wanted to share and remember!

I am not sure where he even learned about Monster's or how this came about but it did!

I was in the laundry room and he came running through the house yelling, "Monster Mommy,Monster." You could hear the panic in his voice and he said 'Come see Mommy, Come see." So he grabbed my hand and took me to his bedroom and said, "Monster in my room Mommy." Once I told him there was not a monster in his room he then said "Monster in Mommy's room, come see come see." I then told him there was no Monster and he continued in a panicky voice to tell me there was a monster, I finally got him to believe there wasn't one and he hasn't mentioned it since. It was so cute because he was so worried about the Monster but yet he was scared so I just comforted him!

He really is getting an imagination of his own and is just so cute!!

Our trip to Wal-mart...

I wanted to make sure I blogged about this so I can remember....


I have taken Brody to Wal-mart numerous times by myself, but usually it is just to get a few things and I know that I can be in and out within like 5-10 minutes. Well today I had to go, it was a must we were out of diapers and Brody was wearing a sz 4t pull-up my sister had gave me once upon a time that were leftover from my nephew's ( Thank you Tisha). We had been to church this morning, then Timmy watched Brody while I went to my friend Kendra's baby shower and once I got home I knew I needed to go. Timmy wanted to stay and watch football so off  Brody and I went. I said a prayer on the way that Brody would be well-behaved and want to ride in the car the whole time, and thank God My prayers were answered. Normally when we go to walmart it is a family outing and Timmy takes Brody and lets him run around looking at everything while I shop and then we meet at the check-out line. We were in Wal-mart for probably 45 minutes and Brody was an absolute angel. He rode in the cart the whole time checking everything out, he didn't even try getting out of the cart, not even when I took him to see the fish ( his favorite). As we walked out I was thinking to myself... Wow this was the calmest and easiest trip to Wal-mart I have had (when by myself with Brody) since he was born and he is 2 years old!! Guess he really is becoming a big boy!!!!!


Like I said I went to my friend Kendra's baby shower today. She has 2 beautiful little girls and they are welcoming a sweet baby boy in about 4 weeks!!!!

I have been working on Brody's big boy room since the beginning of the year, we took out his baby furniture and sold it ( yes this made me sad, even if he never slept in it.) and got him a big boy bedroom suite. I just got the bedding in on Thursday and I need to find some curtains and it is finished and it has turned out so cute! He loves playing in his room and on his big boy bed! He took a nap on it for the first time this evening! Then this Momma had to go scoop him out and snuggle with him!

Snow Snow Go Away....

Once again we are snowed in here in KY! It started snowing yesterday afternoon around 4:00 and we have about 3-4 inches of snow and I hear they are calling for another big snow sometime next week! Although I love a few snowy days, it is beautiful, I am rady for the snow to melt and for Spring time! I am ready to be able to take Brody outside to play. I asked him if he wanted to go out and play in the snow, and although he did he DID NOT want to put on his snowsuit or boots, so he didn't get to go, he wasn't upset.

All of this snow really makes me ready for summer vacation!!! We are going to FL at the end of May and I cannot wait!!

Also means I need some new cute bathing suits..

Then which leads me to... The husband and I have ordered P90x and are going to try it. He is the one who really wanted it but since we are getting it I told him I would try it as well, and if I don't like it I will continue the meal plan with him and continue going to zumba and  I have told myself I am going to start running on the treadmill! I would ultimately like to lost about 15 lbs! Has anyone done P90x?? How was it? Did it work for oyu, did you get good results? Let me know! I am starting on Monday, to start eating healthier, not snacking as much ( picking healthier options) and I am goingto try and cut back on my Diet Coke!

Three years...

Happy 3rd Anniversary to my Hubby! Can't believe it has already been 3 years since I walked down the aslie. Here's to 3 years and many more!!!

Two!

I haven't taken the time since Brody turned 2 to sit down and write a post about all the things he is doing as a 2 year old. This is something I want to be able to go back and look at! Brody came down with a little virus the day after his birthday party so we had to re-schedule his 2 year check up!

Weight- 28 lbs which is exactly what he weighed at his 18 month check-up. Since then he has stopped breast-feeding, has became much more active, and a much pickier eater. He is wearing a 24 month-2t in clothes, a sz 6-7 in shoes, and a sz 5 in diaper's.

Brody has became a pretty picky eater and the only things I can get him to eat are chicken nuggets (with ranch), spaghetti ( which he even wants for breakfast) and pizza. I have to sneak veggies smashed into his spaghetti and hope he doesn't notice. He loves apple juice, loves it, is obsessed with it.

He loves Hot rod's!!! They are all over the house. He will play for hours with his little hot wheels. He also loves dinosaur's and has a new favorite show, "Dinosaur Dan."

Brody is such a big talker! He talks non-stop and it is so cute!! I can't even put a list of word's because he says anything and everything. I love seeing what he is going to say next. He also puts sentences together, he talks like a little man. He can count to 10 and knows most of his color's.

We took his paci away and for as much as he loved his pa-pa and how attatched he was he was done so well!!!!! We never gave in and he doesn't even ask for it that much, which really suprised me.

We turned Brody's room into a big boy room and took down his white dresser and crib and bought him a twin bed and dresser, he has not slept in there yet but maybe one day if this Mama can let him out of her bed! Yes, he still sleeps with me and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Brody is still sweet as ever! He loves giving kisses and hugs! He is such a good little boy but he does throw a few fits here and there. He is such a joy to me and so many others.

I am so blessed to have this sweet little guy in my life and to call him Mine. I love him more than he will ever know!!!!!!!

Brody's Race Car Birthday Party! #2

On Saturday January 8th, 2011 was Brody's Race Car Birthday party!!!!! It was at our church with lots of race car's, balloons, cake, popcorn, food, bounce house, family and friends!!!! We counted 65 family and friends that came out to celebrate Brody's 2nd birthday was us despite the snow!!!! Thank you so much to everyone who came! Brody had a blast with all of his friends and cousin's he especially loved the bouncy house, I couldn't get him to come out! He also loved the cupcakes! It was a great birthday party!!

Review!

I am sure most of you know about the website CSN but I absolutely love there site and anytime I am looking for something I always go to CSN very first thing. Weather I am looking for curtains, bedding, rugs, round chair, luggage, diaper bag, I can always find so many things I want to buy!

Race on over to Brody's 2nd Birthday Party!!!!

Today we are celebrating Brody's 2nd Birthday with a race car party with our friends and family!!!!

Brody Luke turned 2!!

Brody Luke turned 2 years old on January 5th, 2011!!! It's hard to believe I have a toddler on my hands! Time flies by but I have loved each and every minute of it and while it makes me sad he is getting older it makes me so happy to know he is healthy and my baby boy forever no matter how old he is!!

On his birthday my mom and I took Brody to Gattli-land, and he loved it! Then in the evening Timmy's Dad came over and my family and his all went to celebrate Brody's Birthday at Toro Loco! So funny we took him there last year when he turned a year and he wore the same shirt:) He also got a new big boy bedroom suite for his birthday!!

We are celebrating with more friends and family tomorrow for his Race Car Birthday party!!

Brody is such a big boy!! We decided last night that it was time to get rid of his pa-pa ( pacifier) and it went so much better than I thought! Today after he woke up from his nap he really wanted it but calmed down after about 10 minutes. I mean really is it this easy? He loves his pa-pa, adores it!! I never dreamed it could go this easy, but we will see.

Still can't believe my baby is two years old! I take him on Monday morning for his two year old check-up!
