Show us your Wedding Party and Flowers!

I am joining in on Kelly's Korner Show us your life Fridays!!! Today it is Show us your wedding flowers, party, and details!!! I still cannot believe this but I did get married in 2008 but my photographer did not put the photographs on a blog, website, or even offer for me to purchase a CD of my prints so I do have a proof book and all of my prints but the only ones I have on my computer are just a few snapshots that some people took!! I don't have many picture with my details or anything but here is what I do have!!

Let me tell a little story about our wedding.....

We were engaged shortly after being together for 6 months.. fast forward we were engaged 2 years before we got married. My dream wedding that I was planning was going to be in June, outside at my parent's house bu our pond with white chairs and my colors were going to be Hot Pink, Orange, and White. I had already bought the invitations and everything when we got some bad news about Timmy's Mother. She had cancer and was given only 6-9 months to live so we decided to move the wedding up to January instead of June. It was already the beginning of November when we had decided this. Luckily I had went and got my dress in October and I called and told them what was going on and they called the company and got my dress in just in time. I didn't know what I wanted for a winter wedding, I had no ideas so I wasn't that picky. It ended up being a beautiful wedding and an amazing day and I am so thankful we moved it up to January so Timmy's mother could be with us. I wanted to do pink with whites and silver but I couldn't find ANY PINK bridesmaid dresses that I liked to I found the bridesmaids dresses I liked and went with Blues and silvers. Web tried to make it an icy, wintry reception!

I know this is awful but I don't even know what flowers we really used except hydrangeas that were gorgeous!!! I love my bouquet even if we forgot to wrap my ribbon around the stems with my big bow.

We got married at the church I grew up going to. We had 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsman. My maid of honor was my best friend/cousin Lacey, my 3 sisters were bridesmaids and my cousin Grace. Timmy had his cousin Michael as his best man, his brother and 3 friends as his groomsman. Our flower girl was Timmy's cousin and we had two ring bearers, my little nephews! My Brother in law got his officiating license and married us, it meant a lot to us and he did a great job!

All in all it may have not happened how I had planned or been my "dream wedding" or been outdoors in the summertime like I had imagined it ended up being absolutely perfect and being my dream wedding and the most amazing day of my life ( besides when Brody was born.)

The past few days...

Timmy was feeling a little better on his birthday and was wanting to get out and do some things, although I didn't want to do to much because I didn't want him to over do it. He said he would feel better if we got out of the house though, so we did. We didn't go somewhere close even we headed on down to Florence to my sisters for their big move in day!! I don't have any pictures because they are all on my mom's camera but I will upload some, I am so proud of her and my brother in law Matt for making their dream come true by being able to build their dream house. They have worked hard and still do to be able to have this, I'm so happy for them! Then we went out to Outback to eat for Timmy's Birthday dinner with them, my nephews, and my mom and dad. We didn't stop there... we went from Florence to Lexington to stay all night. The reason being... my mom and dad were in Lexington with my little Brother staying for UK Basketball camp and they wanted us to go back with them, so we did. We stayed at Marriott Spring Suites ( where we always stay, our FAV) which is where we stayed last year on Timmy's Birthday as well! It was fun! We love their comfortable beds!! Timmy ended up having a great birthday and loved getting out of the house! He did take it easy though and slept in the car and didn't overdo it.

Timmy is still feeling pretty good but kinda has felt down again today. He has beenont he couch today pretty neasueated with a headache but he is trying to sleep it off. I think after this weekend he will feel good and will head to work on Monday! Thanks for all the prayers and get well comments!!

Mommy's Little Shark & Laundry Helper

We had a really good day today home as a family. Timmy had a good night last night and was able to get some rest. He has had a pretty good day today and is feeling better!! He has actually been able to eat and keep food down today so that is great! His headaches come and go but I think here in just a couple days he will be all better!

While Daddy rested Brody and I spent the majority of the day outside. We sat under our big shade tree on a quit and read and played with toys and then Brody got in his little pool!

Brody loves to play in his little pool and loves toys!!! Yes, he is now sitting up so good by himself and needs no help!! I do stay very close though, just in case :)Brody's new thing he loves is to watch the dogs!! The little one is Cocoa ( our dog ) and the bigger one is Arnie ( myt sister's dog) he could sit and watch them all day!

Since I wasn't home for a few days while Timmy was in the hospital I had some laundry to catch up on and it was okay since I had this cute little helper!!!

Home!!

We are home from the hospital together as a family again!!!! The DR. let Timmy come home around 6:00 this evening. All of his results came back today and they found out he had Enteroviral Meningitis. They weened him off of his pain meds. today so they could send him home with just some to take orally. He was feeling a lot better but then he started feeling nauseous again and started getting a bad headache back. He fell asleep on the recliner and I am not waking him since he is in a deep sleep. The Dr. said it will take a few days to really feel better and for his headache to go away, so he put him off of work all week. I hope he gets better soon, I hate that he is sick and I really hope he feels a bit better for his birthday on Tuesday. Thanks for all of the prayers! Were so glad to be home!!!

I'm so glad to be home with Brody and have him around Timmy. Since we weren't for sure what kind of meningitis it was until today we didn't want to have Brody anywhere close. But the Dr. said it wasn't contagious and it was fine for Brody to be around, Timmy was so glad to see Brody and I am glad to be back home with him too. It was hard being away from him.

Day 3 & A giveaway

Day 3-- I am sitting here in my Hubby's hospital room watching some golf. He really wishes he was out playing right now as he was supposed to be playing this weekend for his birthday. Meningitis isn't exactly his ideal birthday present. His actual birthday is on Tuesday and were hoping he is at home and maybe feeling a little bit better. He is making some small improvements. The DR came in yesterday and said he may get to go home today or tomorrow. He was able to get up and get a shower yesterday so that made him feel a bit better. He still can't really keep anything he eats down and still has his headaches. I just hope he starts feeling better soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Brody is in good hands today. I go home throughout the day and at night. Were lucky that we have so much help. My sister is home today so she has Brody right now. My little brother has UK Basketball camp starting today and it is a big deal. He looks so forward to it every year so I told my mom she must go with him and my dad to start it off right!! So I will be going back and forth today to my little man. Timmy really misses him, it is going on 3 days that he hasn't got to see him!!!

Day 2-- About the same

Well it's day 2 in the hospital and Timmy is about the same, not really any worse and not really feeling a whole lot better!!! The Dr. came in yesterday and really didn't say much. They are still pretty sure it is viral and not bacterial but they won't know for sure until his spinal fluid comes back ( which takes a few days). They have him in isoloation which here that means a room by himself. The nurses all wear gloves, gowns, and masks for taking extra pre-cautions. He wanted to take a shower this morning but they wouldn't let him because he is in "isolation". So we did the best that we could! Thanks for all the prayers, keep on praying! He hates being in the hospital ( who likes it? Well I did when having Brody:) )

This has been a change for me with Brody... I have only left Brody for a few times and not for any longer than 2 hours at a time. Luckily we live right beside my parents and they are able to help us so much! I am still breast feeding Brody and I had no milk frozen and I am not really able to pump out extra so yesterday I went home every couple hours and then mom drove up here and I went out and fed him. He has been drinking juice and eating baby food as well. He did pretty well yesterday and I went home last night with him. Today I have a can of formula that mom may try if she needs to, I really didn't want to have to supplement and he may not even take it and we may not even have to try. It's a good thing we only live about 20-25 minutes from the hospital but I made a lot of trips, but it's worth it! I am lucky to be able to stay home with Brody each day but I sure have missed him but I know he is in good hands and that my hubby needs me!!!!!

Kelly's Korner-- My wedding dress and an update on Timmy

Kelly's Korner is hosting a "Show us your life" Wedding Dress Edition!! So I had to join in and play... I couldn't wait to pick out my dream wedding dress. I had this envision of the exact dress I wanted. I wanted a Strapless, Mermaid Style dress with a long train.... and well I got something totally different. I went to a shop in Reading, OH and I tried on a few and then my sister picked this one for me and I wasn't even going to try it on because it was nothing that I had wanted. I put it on and I just knew it was the one!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt like such a pretty princess in it! I loved it so much!! I had it dry cleaned and preserved! I don't have a whole lot of pictures of it and I don't have any of my professional ones on line and these pictures from shutterfly are kinda small, but I think you can see it pretty well!!!

Update-

They have taken Timmy back for an MRI and a cat scan, I am waiting for him to get back and to hear the results!!!

Say a little prayer....

Say a little prayer for my husband!!!! I am currently typing this from my laptop in his hospital room. We came to the ER at 4:00 am and he was diagnosed with Meningitis (most likely viral) and admitted to a room. He is feeling pretty bad but they have started him on antibiotics and pain medicine so he is feeling a little more comfortable but not much. We are waiting for the DR. to come back in to let us know more.

Brody loves his highchair and his cousin Estella!

Brody has loved his highchair from the time I very first put him in it, he has just loved it. I always just sat him in it with the tray on and he will sit and play with his toys and just watch me while I cook. I realized in the last few days though that I needed to start strapping him in, so I fixed it today so that I could. Look at what a big boy he is, sitting in it like a big boy with no tray and all strapped in ready to go!!! I put the tray on shortly after because he loves to have all kinds of toys on it to play with. Could someone please tell me where my teeny tiny 6 lb 9oz preemie went?

I have posted about Estella before but if you don't remember she is my cousin Danielle's little girl! She loves Brody and Brody loves her! They live in Lexington so we don't see them very often but Estella was here for a few days with her Mammaw and Pappaw ( my aunt and uncle) so she came down to visit "Body." That's what she calls him and it is so cute. She is so motherly, she wants to help me do everything and it is so sweet. She loves to give him kisses. She will be turning 2 here in just a few days!!!!!!!!

So Tuesday the 28th is Timmy's birthday and I was wanting to do something sweet/special from Brody, does anyone have any ideas? This is his first birthday as a dad!! For Father's day I did a canvas with his feet and hands but what couuld I do for his birthday?????????

--I don't really like to watch TV, not a fan at all. However I do watch Army wives and that's really about it.



-- I don't drink enough water, I have been trying to drink more lately but I just don't!



-- I don't ever wear sunscreen, shame on me!!!!!!!!!



-- I don't answer my house phone, ever. It was my grandmas old number and it is always telemarketers and I never gave the number out much, I just use my cell!



-- I don't make Brody sleep in his own bed, I know I will deal with this later but I don't care. I am all about the FAMILY BED!



-- I don't like taking the time to paint my own toe nails, I have to make myself!



-- I don't like cleaning out my fish tank, at all.

Our weekend

I am just now able to do some posting from the weekend, where does the time go? So on Saturday we ventured over to Babies R Us to pick out Brody's new Wheels! I had been researching a lot on the Internet and I really thought I wanted the Chicco Umbrella Stroller but when we got there I tried a few out chicco, combi, maclaren and graco. After pushing them around and trying Brody out in a few this is the one we decided on! The Graco IPO!! I love it! It has a nice little basket, good reclining position, and it seems so much durable than some of the others! We have used it a few times and Brody loves it! Timmy's uncle got married on Saturday so we spent the afternoon/evening/late into the night at the reception, it was a lot of fun!

Sunday we were home and Timmy spent the day golfing so Brody and I headed on down to the Wright's to go to the annual Tollesboro Fair parade, Brody's 1st parade!! The firetrucks and the sirens really scared him at first and then he fell asleep but eh woke up for the last part of it!

Last night Brody, my best friend Laura, and myself went to watch the Miss Tollesboro Pageant! Bordy's 1st beauty pageant, haha. It was fun and he did really well until the end ( it was past his bedtime) we we headed on home!

Brody's 1st bottom tooth has came through and since Sunday he has really been working on the other one right beside it and it is just about through too!!

Not much else has really been going on here.. we have been having some cooler weather which makes it feel like fall is coming! Where did our summer go????
