Stitches, Babbling Abby, and a Baby Shower!

What a fun and exciting weekend I had!!!!! First let me say I know I haven't been blogging as much since I have started back to school but it is HARD to juggle everything!! I was blessed to be able to stay home with Brody for a year and be able ot have my laundry smelling fresh and clean and folded and put away as soon as it came out of the dryer and my house almost spotless each day but let me tell you It is now FAR FROM THAT!!!! Needless to say I haven't had much time on the computer either so I am going to try to keep up as much because I LOVE IT and I started this as like a scrapbook about Brody and I want to remmeber everything!!!

Saturday morning it snowed here a few incehs so we decided to head to NKY to my sister's house to celebrate the Baptism of my Nephew Zachary! There is always something with my family and you never know what to expect. I sure didn't expect to my giving my Brother In law Stitches!! It's a story let me tell you! Those of you who don't really know me or my family My bro-in-law Matt is a Family Practice Dr. One of the very best might I add:) We were getting ready for dinner last night when he and my sister were putting the leaf in their dining room table to try and accomodate the whole clan when something went wrong and he sliced his thumb. He wrapped it up so he could finish supper and we could eat and he said we would go down to his office atfer we ate to see if he would need stitches. I hate that he cut his finger ( I know it hurt so bad and he acted like it was nothing) but come on I'm in nursing school so I'm very interested in this stuff!! Anyways...Me, Dad, Matt, and Timmy went down to his office to see what we needed to do. Sure enough he said he needed a few stitches but it was going to be pretty hard to give himself stitches with hsi left hand since he hurt his thumb on his right hand so he needed help. This is where I come in :) I got my gloves on and he got the supplies out.. He had to have 3 shots of Lidocaine ( to numb) which went right into the cut.. he did the first one himself to show me ( how he did that I have no idea) and then I did the others and we started sticthing up. He helped me and showed me how it had to be done... I loved it!!! I felt so awesome "throwing" those stitches and I think I did a pretty good job for my first time :) At least he said I did.. he would say that though I am his favorite sister in law!!! I then asked how long it would have taken him to do this to a patient and he said he would have been done in 5 minutes.. umm we were there for an hour and a half:) Needless to say... I am going to school to be a nurse not a Dr. so I will never be giving stitches unless my Brother In Law cuts himself again ( I don't want thaat to happen but it was an awesome experience.) I finally got to meet a Bloggy friend so now we can be right Real Life Friend's right Abby???? Abby lives in NKY and goes to the same church as my sister and we ran into each other today!! We felt like we already knew each other!! She is just as sweet, adorable, friendly, and fun in persson as she is on her blog!!!!! So glad we got to meet each other!!!! If you don't read her Blog Babbling Abby head on over, you will just love her and her adorable little son Beckham!!

Today was also on my of Best Friend's Brittany's baby shower. She is having a little girl in March! She has a son, Carter and so she is so excitied to be having a little girl ( so am I.. I can buy girly things). She has a great shower and got so many cute girly things!!!!

Of course I can't do a post without my baby boy on here... My baby is playing with a big boy monster truck? He is too little!!!! Look at what a big boy he looks like??

Sick Baby Boy

Brody Luke is sick.. so sick. I had class today and when I got my my moms she said he had slept for an hour and a half and I had been there for about 20 minutes when he started puking. I took him home and he puked 2 more times and out the other end too. He puked for the last time around 6:30 and so I thought it was just a little bug and that he was getting better. I brought him in to go to bed and he was asleep for about 20 minutes when he woke up puking everywhere all over me , the bed, so I went and gave him a bath and stripped the bed and put a top sheet and blanket on since I can't find my extra sheets!!!! Please say a pray that this bug is over and that he (we) get a good nights rest. I have Pharmacolocy at 8am with a test and I really can't miss but I will if my baby is up all night sick!! Say a little prayer it's so hard when your little one is so sick!!!

Oh and my blog is undergoing a makeover as you can tell... doesn't it look great? When it's all done I will let you know the wonderful gal behind the design:)

1 year Molar's, Future UK Basketball player & 1st Busted Lip!

When I get home from class I go straight to my moms to get my sweet baby boy! I still miss him alot every day and can't wait to get home to him, and I don't think that will ever change. Yes it is getting a little easier to leave him, but as easy as it could be I guess. Why would I ever want to leave this sweet boy? I walked into my moms after getting home today and she was just getting ready to give him a bath and he was in his diaper. She said he had just woken up from a nap, screaming and crying and pulling at his ear. She thought something may have bitten him or something but then for some reason she thought to feel inside his mouth ( I had no idea he was cutting another tooth) when she felt all the way in the back on his left side and felt a tooth!! I am guessing this is a 1 year molar?? I had no idea he was even cutting a tooth!!!!!!!!!! This is Brody's 9th tooth!!!!

Brody loves basketball. Loves it. His daddy loves it and his Uncle Titus loves it. There is always a basketball in my little Brother's hand and well now that seems that is all that is in Brody's hand. He is so strong and it is so cute but he can pick up and hold a regular size basketball and throw it. He will throw the ball to you and he can even make baskets and he get so excited when he does it! My mom put a little goal of my brothers down low on Brody's gate from the stairs and he will stand and make baskets forever. My mom said he does it all throughout the day!! A future UK basketball player? Maybe!

My parents and some others go down to our elementary school to walk/play basketball int he evenings and we went down tonight! Brody had been in the stroller but I let him get out so he could of course play basketball and he fell and busted his lip on the gym floor!!!! It bled so much and he cried forever! I brought him home and let him eat a Popsicle. This was the first time we have really had that bad of a boo boo and that much blood.. I know this is the 1st of many!
It is so amazing just watching Brody grow and watching him learn new things. On Sunday he out of the blue just started giving high fives and it is so cute!!!!! Now anytime you say Give me a high five Brody and throw your hand up he know's exactly what to do!
It snowed a little today and the weather man is calling for a ft of snow this weekend.. ARE YOU SERIOUS???????????????? I need warm weather and sunshine!!!!!

Birthday Party..Rainy weekend

This weekend had been low key for us and it was kind of nice!! On Friday we went grocery shopping and to Toro Loco and we were in bed early! Saturday we went to Morgan's 1st Birthday Party!!! It was cupcake themed and so cute!! Little girls are so different than little boys! I spent my time running back and forth to the inflatable with Brody, he was just fascinated by it. He was just wanted to watch the kids in it and finally towards the end of the party he wanted in!
My sister Lindsey came home from Lexington on Saturday, so glad when she comes home! She watched Brody so me and Timmy could go see "Leigon."
Today it has been rainy and cold so we went to church, toro loco and back home and I took a long nap with Brody ( he is still napping)!!!
Back to class tomorrow and I am sure I will have a long/busy week!!

Thank you for all of the Anniversary Wishes!!!

Yesterday was our anniversary and I had class.. I had told Timmy not to get me anything since Christmas just passed and we just re-did our bathrooms but when I got home from school he had 2 dozen roses and a very sweet letter waiting for me! He said 2 dozen roses for 2 wonderful years of marriage!!! We then went out to Dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant, Meleni's. We were going to go to the movies or something after but it was already 6:00 and I hadn't saw Brody all day, so back home we went and got comfy and spent the evening with our baby boy!

Brody has been doing really good staying with my mom. He is still getting used to being away from me for such long periods at a time and not being able to nurse throughout the day and I miss him so much but I know he has a great time. I leave my camera with my mom so she can take some pictures to let me see what he did that day. His thing right now is BOOKS!! He loves book!! Mom said he sits and looks at his books all day!!!!!

It just amazes me each and every day how much Brody is growing up and the things he is doing. He is talking a lot more. This past weekend he has started saying Titus and it is so cute. He also says Mama, Dada, Dog and he babbles alot!! He looks like such a little man as he just walks throuu the house, plays in his room, and finds things to play with. He loves playing with pots and spoons the other evening he played in the kitchen floor with a big spoon and pot for 30 minutes.

Brody has also started giving kisses, real big kisses and they MELT MY HEART!!!! He opens that mouth so big to give me kisses!

Another thing he has figured out is.. well how do I say this.. his "pee-pee." Not sure about all of this.... he has figured out it is down there and he doesn't know why and he tugs and pulls at it ..ouch!! Oh little boys! Needed to put this here for a memory to remember..haha

BRODY IS NOW HOLDING HIS SIPPY CUP!!!!! YAY!!! I realize Brody is a year old but I guess where I nursed and he never really got used a bottle much he never learned to hold one and it has taken us this long but he started holding his own sippy cup and he looks like such a big boy!!!!!

Happy 2nd Anniversary!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to me and to my wonderful Husband! Today we celebrate 2 years of marriage and wow have we been through so much already! In the past 2 years we have lived in Winchester (rented a duplex), moved back to my hometown in to our house, found out we were pregnant just 3 months after we had been married, had a sweet baby boy, Timmy got laid off, Timmy got a different job, Brody turned a year, and I have started back to nursing school!! WOW and that isn't even all of it just a few main things!!!



I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who supports me in all that I do. We may argue and not always get along but doesn't every couple? We are so very blessed and lucky and I am so glad I have him to share everything with! I thank him for all that he does for me and for Brody Luke!!! We have been through so much together in the 5 years we have been together and I am excited to see what this next year brings us!
