Pickles.. Pickles

I had never introduced Brody to one of my favorite foods (Pickles) until Saturday evening and now it has became one of his favorite foods too! Saturday evening I got into the fridge and got out the pickle jar and ate a few pickles and I let Brody try a few. He mostly just likes to such the juice off of them but will eat a few bites too. After I was finished I put the pickle jar up and Brody stood at the fridge crying for "Pickles, Pickles." So I opened the fridge back up and the pickles are on the bottom shelf and he got a jar out, took it to his daddy because he wanted more "Pickles, Pickles." He ate so many and  I was so afraid he was going to get sick or have you know Diarrhea from eating too many but he screamed and cried yelling for more "Pickles, Pickles."

He took the jar to Daddy

Please open these!!

He really wanted more pickles...

Father's Day Weekend

I was so busy this weekend I didn't even post anything for Father's Day! We had a wonderful weekend spending time with Family. Friday night my sisters were all home and we celebrated My Dad's Father's Day. We had dinner from "The Ribber" and we gave Dad his presents. We all got him a new grill and he loved it!!!! Saturday we all spent the day outside and laying by the pool and then tried out the new grill for dinner Saturday evening. Sunday Morning Brody and I got up bright and early to Make Timmy breakfast for Father's Day, then to church, and then we went to see Timmy's Dad for a little bit.

I am so very thankful for my Wonderful Dad. There is no other man in this world that even compares to him, I am so glad God chose him to be my dad. He is the most caring, trusting, genuine, sweet, funny, loving, hard-working, christian man I know. I am so thankful and so very very blessed for my dad.

Timmy is a great father to Brody and I am so glad and thankful for that. Brody loves his Daddy and loves playing with him!!! Brody knows when his daddy should be getting home from work and he hears that door open and usually runs right to him, so precious!!!!

Pool Days...

The last dew days here have been pretty sunny with a few clouds that cool the day off but you can bet we have been out at the pool everyday!!! My nephews Zach & Landon have been at my parent's since yesterday morning and Brody absolutely adores them! So he has been playing with them alot and we have been spending alot of time at the pool. It is so fun to be out at the pool with all of my boys.. Brody, Titus, Zach, and Landon. They are all so cute and special to me in their own ways and I love watching them and seeing them have fun! I am blessed to have a healthy baby boy, baby brother, and 2 nephews.

Brody loves to watch the "big boys" jump off of the diving board...

Brody loves to play with Trucks/Cars

Kisses from Grandma

Brody & Landon Love Popsicles!!

Today we also went over with my dad to see some work his Company is doing for the state. My dad's company does all kinds of different work mostly pertaining to the Railroad but you never know what else he will get into. A little while ago when we got alot of rain it cause slides and alot of trees into our creeks which flow into the Ohio River and his company is trying to clean it up so that Boats can get through. It is a dangerous job but so far everything has gone pretty smooth. Pretty neat to see it done though.. the boys love watching and Brody especially loves the bulldozer! Here are some pictures...

Brody has been talking so much and saying so many new words. He is even starting to put words together. This week when Timmy calls us in the morning from work I put Brody on the phone and he will say "Hi Da." It is the most precious thing ever and of course his Daddy just loves it!!!

Mean looks...

As you all know I have a very very sweet baby boy, Brody Luke. He can be so sweet but yet he know's how to throw some fits as well. He is at a hard age as for I don't really know how to discipline him in the correct manor and to teach him that we don't throw fits. I do my best though because I will not have my child throwing fits and pulling at my hair. Yet he is only 17 months and he is my baby. I know that they all go through this stage at one point or another.  There has also been several times where he wakes up from a nap hysterical, he screams and screams and nothing comforts him ( I am his mother I know exactly how to comfort him and what works). I try everything and evenutally he will get clamed down but it does take awhile, I am thinking he has a very bad dream or wakes up scared or something. He has done this about 3-4 times, one time being yesterday which brings me to my story.

We were in Lexington at Hamberg shopping while my Hubby was at a Physical with a dr for his work... my sister met me and Brody fell asleep in his stroller and we shopped for awhile and then she had to leave to go back to work so while Brody was still napping I continued shopping ( it was nice) well after about an hour or so he woke up from his nap screaming hysterically and very upset so I rushed out of Aeropostale to get him out of the stroller and give him something to drink and a snack. Well I got him out of the stroller and he was still screaming he didn't really want to be held or he didn't want down and I just knew it was " one of those times." I quickly called my hubs and asked how much longer he would be and continued trying to comfort him all while it is 90 degrees outside but I didn't want to take him into a store screaming. I tried juice, snacks, paci, toys, it DID NOT WORK. I hate when this happens because I hate not being able to calm him down but what really got me upset yesterday was the looks I got from several other Mother's. I may be a young mother but I am a very responsible one at that, I have always taken care of my child ( except for while I went to school) and not that there is anything at all wrong with a night away from your child I have yet to even let anyone keep Brody over night and he is 17 months old. I don't think I would be able to function without him. Brody goes everywhere with me and I do disipline him when he needs it as much as you do for an 17 month old so please when my precious baby boy is screaming/crying don't give me a nasty look as if I have no clue what I am doing. I got several mean looks/stares from a few mother's pushing their children in strollers. When I see a mother with a child upset the last thing I do is give a nasty look... I have a child of my own and even though he is perfect in my eyes in all reality he throws fits, he gets upset, it is normal!!!!!!!! It just upset me.. so maybe they thought he was being a bad little boy and crying and throwing a fit because I wouldn't let him have something, he is 17 months old not the case....I hate for anyone to give me and my precious baby boy mean looks all because he is upset, extremely upset. Oh well.. my husband told me I can't let little things like that get to me.. It just got me thinking..

Anyways.. finally my husband made it to get us and he took Brody and got him a little calmed down and once we got into the car I was able to get him calmed down and off to Johnny Carinos we went for lunch and he was perfectly fine!!

How could you not just hug and cuddle this little guy all the time??

Love the weekends!

On Friday my friend Michelle and her ltitle boy Maverick came down to visit and play with Brody & I. I had not saw Maverick since he was first born and now he is 7 months old. He is such a doll and just smiled the whole time they were here. Brody loved playing with him and gave him lots of hugs & Kisses.

On Saturday we went to Mt Sterling so I could get fitted for my BIL & Soon to be SIL dress for their upcoming wedding in September. I am so excitied for them.. they are going to have a beautiful wedding. After that we went to Timmy's dads new house so he could help him work on his pool and then back home. Today we went to Church, Toro Loco, out to the pool, and then Tommy, Andrea & Gage came over for the evening. We had a great weekend! Tomorrow Timmy is off work and we have to go to Lexington for something he has to do for work! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Look at Brody.... I was getting ready for church this morning and I notced he was very quiet so I looked out into the hallway and this is what I saw. He loves Whales and he had gotten itno the whole box, I guess he was hungry!
