Please pray!

Last night there was a very bad car accident on Cranston road in Morehead, Ky that took the life of a young girl and left two in very critical condition. Lance O'cull was a friend of mine and from my hometown and graduated a year before me.. They airlifted him to UK and he is in very critical conditon. This is the latest update his sister gave.. Please pray for him and his family. He comes from a wonderful Christian family and they could all use prayers, right now all that can help is the power of prayer.


Lance was involved in a head on collision last night on Cranston. He has suffered life threatening injuries. He has a pelvic fracture, which had landed him in traction. He had a liver laceration that has been packed. He has chest tubes to help with the fluid overload. He has received multiple unit of blood products. He also has arm fractures. However, all of these below the head things can be fixed. What is the most concerning right now is his brain. They are mainly concerned with his intercranial pressure, which needs to stay low and so far today it has. His blood pressure and heart rate have also been stable today. He has been on chemical paralytics, they are hoping to start beta-blockers tonight and perhaps a feeding tube tomorrow. We greatly appreciate everyone's prayers for Lance, he needs a miracle. Also, please keep the other people involved in the accident in your prayers. We are at the trauma ICU at UK Hospital.

27 Days until Christmas....

 We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we celebrated our last Thanksgiving dinner for this year yesterday, we went to Timmy's dads to have our Roland Thanksgiving Dinner. It was great getting to see everyone since we live about 2 hours away, the guys spent there time playing pool and I spent my time talking with the girls and holding the newest addition. Timmy's Uncle Tony and his wife had a new baby boy last Friday and they named him Cherokee and oh he was so precious. Maybe it gave me the baby bug just a wee little bit. Brody loved all of the inflatable's and lights his Papaw Roland had up. Today we went to church and out to Toro Loco with our friends Lacey, Travis, Morgan and Ryan and then we have just had a lazy day today.
Tomorrow Me, Mom, and Brody are going t do some more Christmas Shopping!! I can't believe it is only 27 days until Christmas!!!!!!!!

My parents decided last minute on doing a family picture Christmas card and since we didn't really have time to get pictures done I searched and searched through all of my pictures to try and find one with all of us looking, with no one's eyes shut or crazy faces and this is what I found. Only thing is Uncle Robert is almost hiding little Brody but overall its a great picture. Wanted to go ahead and share these for a promotion on Shutterfly. Our Thanksgiving..

We don't have to travel too far on Thanksgiving, just right across our driveway to my parent's and that is so nice!! My whole family was in so we went over to my parent's when we woke up and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and waited around for all the food to get done and ate around 12:30, and then we all took naps! We usually go to the movies Thanksgiving evening but there wasn't really anything good on so we decided to stay home, eat leftovers, and rent a movie off the T.V. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We have our Thanksgiving with my Husband's family tomorrow, so round 2. I am definitely going to have to go on a BIG WORKOUT kick to work all of this turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie off! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thankful......

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! I wanted to take this time to blog about what I am so very thankful for in my life and I wanted to take today to let you know what I am so thankful for. I am so very blessed and thankful for SO many things in my life and I remember that each and every day.

On this day today remembering what I am so thankful for...

I am so very thankful for my wonderful, amazing parents.

I am so thankful for the amazing parents that I was blessed with. My mom and dad are two of the most amazing, christian, sweet, sincere, kind, loving, caring, giving people you could ever meet. I have so many memories from my childhood until now with my parent's that I will always treasure and hold dear to my heart. I am so thankful to have parents that always truly cared and still do, and who taught me so many Christian morals and values. I hope that I can be as wonderful as parent to Brody that they have been to me. My parents are always there, always have and always will be for Me &  Brody. I am so thankful for My Mom & My Dad they truly are two of the most wonderful people.

I am so thankful for Brody Luke...

I am so very thankful for my precious baby boy. I am so blessed to be his mother, he has made me into a better person. I am so thankful that he is healthy. I am so thankful for how sweet and loving he is and what a precious little boy he is. I count my blessings each and every day. He is my world.  When I was little I always dreamed of being a "Mommy" I am so thankful my dreams came true.

I am thankful for my husband...

I am so thankful for my husband....our relationship may not be perfect and we definitely have our ups and downs but he is my other half. He works and allows me to stay home with Brody (besides going to school), he provides, he comforts, he protects.  We are coming upon our 3 year anniversary and I am so thankful he has put up with me for so long:) This a picture from WAY BACK, it was at the Lexington airport when he came home for Christmas Leave from San Diego. This was our 1st Christmas together and I remember how excited/nervous I was, it was a day I will never forget.

I am so thankful for my sisters...

I am so very blessed and thankful to have my 3 wonderful sister's. I can think back to when I was very small and remember all of the memories I have with my 3 sister's as we were growing up and even to now and I am so thankful for having them in my life. For being sister's we never fight and we never did when we were young, we always all got along and we still do. My 3 sister's are all very different but yet we are the same, because were sister's.. My sister's are 3 of my very best friends and I know that I can always count on them for anything. I really am so thankful for my 3 beautiful sister's who mean so much to me!!!!

I am so thankful for my little brother...

I remember the day he was born, I remember holding his tiny little hands and changing his diaper. I am so thankful for my precious little brother. He was always one of my best friends and he still is. I am so thankful for the sweet boy he has turned into. I am thankful that he helps me and loves Brody so much. I am thankful to have a sweet little brother.

I am so thankful for my Brother in law and my nephews...

I am so thankful for my awesome Brother in Law Matt from the time he came into the family he has always taken my side over anything! I am his favorite, I know:) He is so great to my sister and my two adorable nephews and he is the best Doctor I know! I know I could count on him for anything! I am so thankful for him.

I am so thankful for Zachary and Landon. They are two very special little boys to me. They are so very sweet. They can light up the room when they are in it and I am so proud of the little boys they are. I am so lucky to have such wonderful nephew's!

There are so many more things I am so very thankful for today...

Our Savior, My amazing friends, My vehicle, My home, food that is prepared on my table, my freedom, and so many other small little thing's I am so thankful!!!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and remembers to be thankful on this day....

Murder Mystery..

On Saturday my sister had a Murder Mystery party that was so much fun! I had never been to one before and it was a blast! It was Murder the "Deadwood Saloon." My character was Sally Starr a Saloon Girl. I will let the pictures do the talking..

My Laundry Room!

Today over at Kelly's Korner is Show us your Life-- Laundry rooms, play rooms, or bonus rooms. We were finally able to re-do our laundry room about 4 months ago and it is now my favorite room in the house! Our laundry room is right off of our kitchen, it has a door out back, and a door coming in from Timmy's Man room ( soon will be Brody's playroom) so my laundry room had a lot of traffic and it was hideous, I wish I had a before picture. Plus I spend alot of my time out there so I wanted to make it cute! I will say I never thought I would have crown mold in my laundry room, but it sure makes me happy! I knew I wanted to paint the walls grey and go with a black and white theme ( found most the stuff at hobby lobby). I made the letters using scrapbook paper, my grandma made the curtains, I love the black and white damask! I will say I feel like a queen doing laundry at times, we all should though shouldn't we?

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas everywhere I go....

I decided I couldn't wait any longer to get our my Christmas decorations so I got them out last Saturday and started decorating, I have just been going at a slow pace and not rushing and it has been so nice. I almost have everything done, we finished the tree last night. Now I need to get our pumpkins off the front porch (haha) and get my Christmas thing sup outside and my wreath hung on the door! I love Holiday Decorations... all of my decorations this year (alot from last year) are red, green, lime green and white!

Brody has been such a big helper and thinks all the decorations are so "pretty." He is such a joy and I love seeing him light up when we turn the tree on!

We started our Christmas shopping several weeks ago and we have the majority of it finished except for Brody.

Timmy went and did his Christmas shopping for me last night which I knew was a bad idea since it is so early because he CAN NOT keep a secret or gift's from me, so when he came home last night he begged me to open one gift so I did. He said it was something I had asked for 3 years go and he remembered...

I told him I wanted some kind of real pearl earrings. He got me a pair of Pandora silver braided hoops with a dangling pearl and they are Gorgeous!!!

As excited as I am for Christmas I am very excited about Thanksgiving as well! I remember what I am thankful for each and every day!!! Can't wait to share the day and remember what I am thankful with my family.

After 2 trips to the Dentist...

All we really know for sure is we will be making a THIRD TRIP to the dentist on December 6th!! It's a good thing Brody Luke doesn't mind "showing" his teeth. You ask him to smile to show the front and then to show the back you ask him to "Show his tongue."

Anyways.. I had an appointment with a Pediatric dentist (dentist #1) in Ashland on December 6th but I really didn't want to wait that long so I had heard some good things about a different pediatric dentist (dentist #2) in Bellefonte so I called and they got me in so much sooner (maybe there was a reason??) so we went. The dental hygienist did a wonderful job and was great with Brody, he got a A- for behavior and a 2 for his dental Hygiene ( a 1 being the best, said he had 2 plaque spots HELLO it's hard to brush a 22 month old's teeth but he is getting better about it.) She confirmed to me that his front 4 teeth had cavities, yes all 4 and that instead of spotting from iron on his teeth that was actually decay ( which is what I thought and was afraid of.) She also informed me that Brody is forming an Open Bite from.. the Pa-Pa (Paci) so they said we need to start taking it from him soon but let me inform the "Open Bite" runs in my family. So the dentist came in and really didn't explain much just lectured me on the paci (I will take it when I want but thanks) and that Brody had 6 cavities ( later I learned on his papers she put down 8???????) that he needs them all filled, a few crowned, and some nerves removed and it would be an Outpatient Surgery at King's Daughters where he would be put totally under. WHOA. I knew at his age he would need to be put under but CROWNS, really? So once I got home and processed it all I just didn't feel quite right and I didn't really feel trust with the dentist so I decided to take Brody to my dentist ( been going for 20 years, family friend) and let him have a look and take a look at what the 1st dentist treatment plan was. He was very upset said he didn't see anything for the back 4 teeth, so that meant no crowns or nerve removal and cut 1500.00 off the price!!! I can't believe she did that! But his front 4 teeth do definitely need some work.. so he was sending to be Dentist #1 but I already had an appointment that I never cancelled and he told me to NEVER EVER go back to dentist #2.

So that is all I know for now and we will find out more when we go to his appointment on the 6th.

Oh and do you want to know what the cause of all Brody's dental issues??????? BREAST-FEEDING!!!
I never knew it could cause problems with there teeth but where I nursed Brody for so long ( 19 months) and he would nurse ALL NIGHT LONG they said where the milk would stay on his teeth it caused the damage. Dentist #2 also informed me with my next child when they nurse during the night I need to syringe their mouth with water and wipe there teeth and it may keep this from happening. Oh my. I'm not saying this will happen to everyone but it can and they said it is most likely why Brody has to many cavities. I do believe this because MY dentist told me the exact same thing.

Sorry I rambled on so much but I wanted to remember this.. I tired getting a picture of Brody and this is the best I could do. He loved his new tooth brush!

Dentist..

Over the past couple of months I have noticed some "spotting" on Brody's 4 top front teeth that I became worried about. I brush his teeth 2 times a day and I won't like I do forget every now and then but I try not to. I won't lie here and don't think I'm a terrible Momma  either but... I do let him have candy here and there and he has some drinks of pop and a sucker here and there, but it is not like I put Pop in his sippy cup and let him eat on candy all day long. I started brushing his teeth as soon as he started getting them... but he is my child and has my family genes so I know he has the "soft teeth" genes.

So a couple weeks ago when we were at a check-up at the Pediatrician I had them take a look at his top teeth and they said that it looked like he had "spotting" on them from the Iron Supplements he had to be on at about 7-8 month's old but that it looked like he could be getting a small cavity and that it was my choice to take him to a Pediatric Dentist. So of course I called and got him an appointment!!!

We go tomorrow morning at 10:15, so please keep us in your prayers. I really hope it is not a cavity or at least that it is not a bad one. I also am nervous because on the paperwork I had to print off to take in it states " All children will go to the back without a parent." Um.. Hello but my child is not even 2 years old yet, he is my baby, and he has never been left with anyone but my mom... I highly doubt he will be going back alone. I am going to ask once we get there since he is so young that I be allowed to go back. Why should I even have to ask??? I do understand in alot of cases of wanting them to go back alone.. but Brody isn't even 2, he NEEDS HIS MOMMA!!!

Anyways.. keep us in your thoughts as we make Brody's 1st Dentist Appointment at 22 Month's old.  I thought it wouldn't be until he was at least 3-4 years old!

Brody Luke,

Brody you are 22 Month's old today, wow!! 2 more months until you turn the BIG TWO!!! Doesn't seem quite possible that you are already this old!

You are such a sweet heart and so very loving, you love to give hugs and kisses and tell people that you love them. You are so friendly and will go to almost anyone. You are such a talker, you say EVERYTHING!! You talk and jabber so much, wonder who you get that from? You are learning so many different things. You aer starting to put small sentences together and phrases, you are too cute, I just love hearing you talk.  You love watching cartoons, you love them all! You love to play Hot Rod's still, they are your favorite. It is so cute how you will just take your little cars and play for hours lining them up and making them go vroom vroom. You love to draw, paint, and color!

You are a little bit of a picky eater. You love snacks... but as far as meals you like chicken nuggets, spaghetti, waffles, pancakes, pizza, and the only way  I can get you to eat veggies is with a chicken pot pie!!

You are still taking your paci, which you call your pa-pa. You are wearing sz 5 diapers but I am getting ready to try and start potty training you, let's hope it goes well!!

You are wearing 24 months-2t in clothing and you weigh about 28-29 lbs. You are getting so big and so tall! You wear a sz 6-7 W in shoe.

You are such a sweet boy Brody and once again each month I write this I am so thankful for being your Momma!!!!

Has it really (almost) been two years?

Has it really almost been two years that I held my precious baby boy for the first time?

Has it really almost been two years that I became a Mother, something I had dreamed of since I was a little girl.

Has it really been almost two years since my little angel 1st wrapped his tiny finger around mine, he knew I was his Mama.

Has it really almost been two years that I got the greatest blessing the Lord could have ever blessed me with. I am so lucky to be Brody's Mama, sometimes I just look at him and wonder how God is so good? He is such a blessing to me and such a wonderful Gift from God and I thank him each and everyday for my precious son.

Since becoming a mother I have changed in so many ways, but for the better. Brody makes me a better person, he always puts a smile on my face, and reminds me by things so simple that I am blessed and that God is so great!

I have been planning Brody's 2nd Birthday which is on January 5th and it is got me thinking about how the time has really flown by, I want him to be little forever!!!!!

New Furniture..

I have never showed pictures of our Master Bedroom simply because it is plain and boring, nothing special. I have wanted to fix it up since we have moved in but have always started on something else... We have a king side mattress and boxspring on a bed frame but no bed. We have a huge dresser that was my grandmother's, a desk and bookshelf from bedroom at my parent's house, and a T.V and a small tv.stand. I want a nice fancy bedroom suit!!!! Well, it doesn't have to be fancy but I want it to ALL match, I want to paint our bedroom walls, a new comforter set and I want to decorate it!!! I have my heart and mind set on a white bedroom suit but it is hard to fine one I like so I have found a few others too...


I have been looking everywhere... and here are a few I like.. I went straight to CSN.com to start looking because they have EVERYTHING!! They have everything from bedroom sets, to sofa's, kitchen appliances, toys for your child, End Table, rugs, lamps, and SO MUCH MORE!!!
